On browsing YouTube I discovered a trailer for a game called The Ranchers. It looks like a cross between Stardew Valley and The Sims. It’s another title I am looking forward to after seeing the trailer:
The graphics are beautiful to look at and are highly detailed. The developer seems to want to make the game as different to Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon as possible. Which starts with the visual style. I’m very impressed with the look of the game and cannot wait to see how it plays.

The Ranchers Vs Stardew Valley
Another difference is that you can drive vehicles around the area to get from A to B. This I assume will make the area that you can explore a lot bigger than Stardew Valley. There also seems to be more than one vehicle, so hopefully, the different vehicles will have different uses and potentially lead to more varied environments.
Combat has also been shown via the trailer. It doesn’t look very advanced but with the more modern approach to everything else, maybe we will get guns? Or at least a bit more advanced combat that was prevalent in Stardew Valley. Fingers crossed.
From the synopsis on Steam, it looks like up to 4 players can coop on one game. It will be interesting to see if they can set up separate farms that can work together. And if a player is away if they can set their farm up to automatically work when their partners play. Probably a bit too much to ask for an Indie developer.
